Ridgewood NJ Just a few points about the March 2nd Village meeting:

1. Albert sent an email to a resident during the meeting.  This is strictly forbidden according to a resolution that he himself penned, as follows:

Resolution 13-87 (April 24, 2013), item #4 reads as follows:

Telephonic or electronic communication between or among Councilmembers or between a Councilmember and a member of the public during public meetings is prohibited.

As soon as he realized his gaffe, Albert made a big point of saying that this is THE FIRST TIME EVER that he has sent an email during a meeting to a “member of the public” other than his family.  Evidently colleagues on the dais and members of his family are not considered to be members of the public.  Or, maybe the Deputy Mayor considers himself to be above his own rules.

2. The Deputy Mayor got nasty with a member of the public who questioned the accuracy of one of the renditions of the new garage plan.  The resident had not only questioned the depiction, but had also questioned whether this misrepresentation might have been intentional.  Mr. Pucciarelli referred to the resident’s email as STUPID and announced that he deleted it immediately.  Instead of actually looking at the resident’s suggestions, he just discarded it and then was insulting about it.

3. They voted 5-0 to go forward with bonding in-town, which will be a final hearing on the 23.  They voted 2 in favor (Susan and Michael) and 3 opposed to killing the ordinance to bond with the BCIA. Aronsohn made it abundantly clear that he will barrel ahead with the BCIA if the in-town bonding does not go through.  So the terrible three are keeping “parallel” tracks open so they can get the garage one way or another.

  1. Just what one would expect from one of the three stooges.

  2. He’s a Hotel Lawyer he doesn’t have to follow is own rules.

  3. Is this one of those ‘gotcha’ moments that Big Al always complains about?

  4. Note to self…Don’t forget to blame the public at end of Public Comment. -Albert

  5. No one needs to be that available to their family.

what could possibly be happening – on an ongoing basis- that he can’t sit through a meeting without checking the phone?

He must have a short attention span.

  6. He has BIG EGO.

  7. Electronic communications and devices must be banned from the dais. Period.

  8. this guy needs to go. what a ass,

  9. This man does not have the Balls to run again. He knows he can’t get elected just like his friend Paul. Albert ego will not allow him to accept defeat so he is going to take the easy why out . He will come up with some excuse of why he not running but down deep inside this narcissus knows the truth. By By Big Al the Developers Friend. Another one bites the dust one more to go. You should take the High Road Gwenn and do yourself a favor and don’t hand your petitions. Save yourself the embarrassment of loosing. Join the stagecoach out of town with your 2 Amigos.

  10. Don’t we try to teach our children that they need to put the phones down and pay attention to people?

His arrogance speaks to a person with a disdain for the public. He should not run again for council. Stay home and text your family

  11. This has come up repeatedly. The mayor admitted that he shares jokes with his wife. The Deputy mayor has admitted in the past that he needs to be in touch with his family. The nitwit Hauck has her phone on but said she does not look at it. What a bunch of liars. We can see, yes we can clearly see that they are on their freakin’ phones. One time very recently Paul Aronsohn was texting Paul Vagianos, we were watching the back and forth, it was completely obvious and completely hilarious. They have absolutely no business breaking this rule which was, by the way, of their own making.

Good rule, just that it does not seem to apply to them.

Please, let me wake up and have it be July 1.

  12. Well if Al decides not to run these are some the excuses he may use.

    I have a day job
I was in my meditation room and a voice told me not to run
Now that the garage will be built and taxes are going to go up I am moving out f town.
If my friend Paul is not running neither am I
Im to busy texting on my phone.
When the garage failsI don’t want to around.
Rurik Halaby has chartered me to fly him around the world .

  13. How about. People refused to sign my petitions , well on person did. Thank Rurik.

  14. The only people who need to have constant access on their cell phones are children, oh and control freaks.
