Ridgewood NJ, this GOFUNDME was set up to support two Ridgewood kids in need of a helping hand:
Jack and Gabby’s babies born at 23 weeks.
“As many of you know, we found out late this summer our son Jack and his partner Gabriella are expecting identical twin boys in March.
We knew from the jump that it was possible this pregnancy would be a challenge but they faced it with excitement and as a team.
It’s challenging enough to prepare for this, but these young people have been faced with one setback after the other since finding out this news.
They were in a bad car accident leaving their car totaled about two months ago. This left both of them injured and leaving them without a car for weeks. Thankfully the babies were ok.
Jack’s day job is about an hour from their home and his night job required him to be on his feet which he was unable to do while he recovered. They were doing their best to Uber to and from work and doctors appointments but thankfully were able to get another car and have been trying to get back on track.
Unfortunately, Gabriella has now gone into preterm labor at 22 weeks leaving her on full hospitalized bedrest for the remainder of the pregnancy-which we have to pray will be a long time. Right now we are fighting, and grateful for, every day.
Frankly, the situation has been quite grave, and Jack being away from her bedside or not readily available for more than a brief time simply isn’t an option.
Jack is doing his best to work remotely but the situation has required so much of his time and attention, it’s yet another setback.
We absolutely know that this is going to be a long road ahead. Even under the best of circumstances these babies will have an extensive NICU stay and a long road to recovery.
We’d like to try to do anything we can to help them with the massive medical bills coming their way, the day-to-day expenses of having a family member in the hospital, having babies in intensive care, traveling to and from the hospital all while trying to maintain their normal household bills and preparing to bring two small babies home. They’re 23, they’re just starting out and we’d like to ease some of the burden they have been met with.
We will keep you updated on the situation as we know so many people are praying for and thinking of Jack, Gabby, and these two baby boys.
Thank you for any help you so generously offer this young family.”

Yeah, so? That’s life. But why are you asking strangers for money? These people don’t have families?
Don’t you have any compassion? We taxpayers are happy to give our money to support all manner of families and subsidize the fallout from their poor decisions, regardless of their legal status. Can’t afford kids? Who cares? Have twelve! Here’s free medical for you too! If people want to give, that’s their business so stfu.
WTF is wrong with you. This is a gracious ask for help for a young family experiencing extraordinary circumstances that would bring most of us to our knees. If you don’t want to help your neighbors in need, scroll on by. Sometimes it “Takes a Village” to lift us up and get us through dark times.
If you bothered to look at the GOFUND ME, you would have seen that that babies were born at 23 weeks and one has now passed away. Not only will this family have huge medical expenses, they have a funeral to pay for.
SMH.
I’m going to start a tiny violin fund. I expect you to contribute.
And when you get that tiny violin, you know where you can shove it.
I hope you family is never faced with a tragedy like this.
if you’re looking for compassion or well-reasoned posts, you’ve come to the wrong place.
