the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, Jeff Voigt missing in action (most likely because he knew room would be filled with commuters who were pissed off at the price increase for commuter parking – a plan developed & supported by the FAC, of which Jeff is the Village Council liaison).
After listening to all the comments, we do believe a 1000 dollar premier parking permit is too much. In two years it has gone from 600 dollars to 750 to the current 1000. Glen Rock was said to be 150 dollars and HoHoKus was around 375. 1000 dollars seems pretty steep
MIA. What a guy.
Check this video out. Start watching at 1 hour and 17 minutes in. Voigt proposed the whole thing.

September 28 Voigt proposed raising the annual pass to $1000K Said it again on October 5. Fails to show up when the shit hit the fan on January 11.
Heck of a guy, that Jeff Voigt.
With his Wharton baseball cap flying, Voigt’s eager to monetize everything in town. Must be watched closely.
I am sorry but the ENTIRE council voted for this. Voight is a disappointment but there is no way you can hang this on his neck alone.
1:18:30 in the tape is when Jeff says we could make money off the deal. Yep, gouging the citizens
Every report from the FAC is suspect. This alone would be a good enough reason to disband it. There are plenty of others. We have a CFO and they need to go, go, go.
Evan Weitz was not there last night. Remember he has a job and cannot come to all these meetings, one of his great quotes from his miserably failed campaign. In his stead he sent William Grae to be obnoxious about how hard the few elite important people in Ridgewood work. Al Pucciarelli was in that group too. The few, the hard-working, the assholes.
Deplorable leadership. Short-sighted vision. Do these people realize the commuter is the backbone of the local economy?
8:18 is my vote for clarity and snipers focus Award.Agree…
The fact they hoisted this flag amidst the Holiday season even though new year 2017 parking solutions were being planned for …for months ,was a huge misjudgment..I was speechless when they announced that train passes were to be raised 25 percent to 1000 dollars because someone saw an opportunity to stick it to the commuter taxpayers.without the Ridgewood blog we all would have been totally screwed .In fact it should rolled back to 750 for those taxpayers who got clipper for the $1000 this year via a $250 credit only for next years passes issued by January 15 th of 2018.would be a sign of good faith ..and better government.wrong is wrong in any manner of how this was constructed and shoveled down on the commuter taxpayers…
9:47 minor technicality, $250 is not a 25% increase.
Thanks 7.32.. Even at a 33 percent increase is a disgrace,..needs to be rolled back in some form…credit for 2018 pass,,,etc..
