Training for High-Density Buildings

Firefighters focused on ladder raises and stairwell hose stretches to assess their distance capabilities and response efficiency in the event of an emergency. These training exercises are crucial for ensuring quick and effective responses in high-density residential structures, which present unique challenges for firefighting operations.

Keeping Ridgewood Safe

Residents may notice firefighters conducting similar training exercises throughout town, especially during good weather. These operations help the department stay prepared, efficient, and ready to protect the Ridgewood community.

By proactively planning for emergencies in large multi-family dwellings, Ridgewood firefighters are taking essential steps to enhance safety for residents and first responders alike.

  1. when you build high density housing , it creates alot of costs on the taxpayers

    1. and a lot of revenue for the village. I’m sure you’d like it if the dilapidated car dealership was still there?

  2. I can imagine what they pay in taxes at these locations, three new locations that replaced the car dealers definitely gotta be paying more in taxes.
