Ridgewood NJ, coming into this past Saturday’s Bergen County championship game, the Ridgewood Maroons were the underdog against undefeated Demarest.
After knocking out Bogota in the semifinals, fourth-seeded Ridgewood dethroned top-seeded Demarest in three sets 19-25, 25-13, 25-22 at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan in its first Bergen County final appearance since 1986.
10th seed…that’s not supposed to happen.
