Dear Ridgewood High School Alumni,
At sunrise this morning, a group of RHS Alumni Association (RHSAA) Trustees, RHS Principal, Jeff Nyhuis, RHS Assistant Principal, Basil Pizzuto, RHS 12th Grade Advisor, Meg Schaefer, RPS Public Information Officer, Charlene Labenda, Bergen County Commissioner, Ramon Hache (RHS ’91), PG ‘22 Chairs and Committee Chairs, RHS Lacrosse parents, friends and family members all came together to hang 470 maroon and white senior banners. These banners were hung throughout our beautiful Village to highlight, to recognize and to celebrate each member of the RHS Class of 2022.

As former RHS students, we want to officially welcome this year’s Seniors as the newest alumni into our ranks. Even though the world has changed, RHS remains a pillar of excellence as shown by the academic, artistic and athletic talents of this class. The Seniors have proven that the RHS motto “Tradition of Excellence” is thriving, enduring and resilient. Indeed, these Seniors have proven time and again that perseverance, compassion and kindness are hallmarks of the Class of 2022.

Between now and Graduation Day, we’ve asked our Seniors to walk though Ridgewood to locate their banner, take a photo, share with their family and friends and post on social media using use the hashtag #RHSClassof2022. The banners have been randomly hung on fences in high traffic areas at RHS (facing East Ridgewood Avenue), BF Middle School (facing Glen Avenue), Graydon Park (facing both Linwood and Maple Avenues), GW Middle School (on Monroe Street facing Citizens Park) and Citizens Park (facing Monroe Street and Godwin Avenue) and will remain hanging through June 30th.

We are so proud of this year’s graduates, a community of young, vibrant, creative, enthusiastic, talented and compassionate young adults. We wish them the best in their future endeavors, whether college/university bound, engaging in the workforce, traveling, or still deciding on plans moving forward.
Please join us in celebrating the Class of 2022!
