RIDGEWOOD KIDSAFE SELF-DEFENSE KARATE AND SAFETY AWARENESS

Ridgewood NJ, Registration for the Winter 2016 session will be held on Tuesday, January 19th, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the Community Center, Village Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood

This program, for boys and girls age 5 to 15, is designed to enhance self-esteem, self-discipline and safety awareness! Students are placed into classes according to age and ability. This is an ongoing program.

Classes will be held at Community Center, Village Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue on Tuesdays after school for a 10-week session, January 26 through April 5 (no class Feb 16). The cost is $100.00.   1. KidSafe??? Safety Awareness??? What a sleaze ball advertising campaign. The odds of a child being abducted are lower than them being hit twice by lightning. Companies that prey on the fears of parents should be ashamed of themselves. The real predator parents should fear is companies like this that are stealing $650 in the name of safety from an imaginary boogeyman.

    If you want to do marshal arts, go for it. Self discipline and control of your body are great things to learn. But promoting it in the name of child safety is disgusting.

  2. we know they won’t use this training to defend themselves against bullies… they are now trained to turn and run to the school if their feelings are hurt or worse.
