All — On page 3 of the Ridgewood News, there was an article to try to pressure Mike Sedon and Susan Knudsen to vote for bonding the garage through Ridgewood. If you are skeptical of the viability of the proposed garage, please send Mike and Susan an email to let them know to stay firm on their vote and allow the referendum on the BCIA to go forward. Here’s what I sent to them:

Susan and Michael,
With regards to the full page ad in the Ridgewood News today, I urge you to maintain your position on the bonding of the proposed garage.
I do not believe that a garage in that location will cover its costs and the taxpayers are going to wind up funding it. There is simply not enough demand for parking at the proposed location. There are usually many spots open right across the street. I’d support a smaller structure located more centrally and I know a lot of my fellow residents would too.
Please stay the course and know that most of the residents who voted in support of a garage did not know any specific information at that time therefore there is NO MANDATE to build anything at this time.
Feel free to contact me via email or at 201-445-8222.
Regards,
Derek Schnure
Looks like you guys got trumped again.
Time to bring in some mainstream. TV media and raise the stakes on this boondoggle..there is a lot of meat on this bone to tear into.. citizens referendums. Backdealing ,,politicians on way out…county luring for a foothold..NJT ETC. Multi family housing…town under siege..churches under attack at side doors..funeral and street reversals..safety of a smaller street Fire and emergency concerns
The full page garage ad was a who’s who of businesses and the regular council supporters. There were a couple of odd residents with no apparent affiliation. Probably flattered that they were invited into the group and have their name printed in the paper.
Surprised they let Delzio sign. I would have thought thay they would want to distance themselves from him.
Not much credibIlity to that full page ad in support of the garage. Mostly developers, CBD business owners and Council majority apologists. Did they think nobody would notice that they’ve listed all of their children to fill out the page? I ask again – how dumb do they think we are? There are really only a handful of families represented in this ad. Please stay the course Mike & Susan – you’re doing a great job.
Important to call this a paid full-page advertisement. It was in no way an “article.”
Agree. Developers, chamber of commerce or library trustees.
Mike and Susan just need to work with designers at this point. They know they need to bond a garage but should not feel rushed. The petition can hold through May if need be. Ideally there is a better option design wise, which they should bond.
mike and susan should just let the petition go to the ballot. then after May, new council can work on a more appropriate design.
I agree with 9:18. I wonder how the signers and their children feel about being on the same page as Mr Delizio. Has he been charged yet?
