Ridgewood NJ, the agenda of the Village Council noted  ,”Award Professional Services Contract – Feasibility Assessment for the Ridgewood Indoor Firearms Range” , has created much consternation by parents who clearly are watching too many reruns of “law and Order” during lock down.

Rumor has it that the village is considering building a $5 million indoor shooting range at the location formerly occupied by Airbrook Air Express on Route 17 next to the park-and-ride. Neighbors of Travelle school and BF middle school are reportedly in panic about the plan theory and the children will be killed by flying bullets. Facebook is reportedly going wild with people fearing that their kids will be shot.

  2. You need lots of practice to be able to wing a suspect in the leg as per Joe Biden.
He must be watching those spaghetti westerns in his basement, when he’s not playing with his dog.

  3. We think it’s a great idea. Because Park and ride is a disgrace. The whole site needs to be reconstructed, what happened talk about calling in disrepair. It’s been filthy and falling apart the last few years who’s in charge. And the rumor had it a few years ago they were going to put the pistol range down back in Glenrock At the Water Pollution site. Whatever happened with that.

  4. Why does it cost 5M to build a warehouse style building? Are they planning luxury interiors to make it a sports bar?

  8. Fair Lawn’s range is outdoors.

Now that the leaves are down I can hear FLPD practicing most days.

  9. It’s time to build a state of the art firing range. I’m sure they’ll get some funding from the government, it’s a good location out on 17. That parking lots been dead with cars since March. Every day you only have about 10 cars. Just like the train station dead. That’s a good location for the recycling department to.

  18. get rid of police and shift to Bergen County services and let them build a new shooting range and move the fire department to volunteer. this will help your taxes in Ridgewood

  19. @ ‘ta’ above.
If you really lived here and got a tax bill, you wouldnt make such a dumb comment.
The BLOATED schools budget is the largest portion of the tax bill.
The municipal services such as garbage. streets. police. fire is a bargain. (compare to glen rock and ramsey that have volunter FF and we PAY LESS!)
I subsidize your kids in school. I like a professional Fire department with the quick response times and lower property insurance bills because of it.
We couldnt even staff a volunteer ambulance. What makes you think we could get a sufficient number of volunteer fire fighters. NO THANKS on the FOUNDATION SAVERS. Keep the pros.
As for Bergen county PD… they were the highest paid in the state before being absorbed into the Sheriffs dept. NO THANKS.
I’d venture a guess you couldnt pass the PD or FF test so you come here to bitch.
