Attempted Vehicle Theft

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Ridgewood Police Department on Wednesday August 16th at 3:30AM The Ridgewood Police Department received a report of persons attempting to break into vehicles in the area of Norgate Drive and East Saddle River Road. Patrol units responded and located the suspect vehicle believed to be stolen from another jurisdiction. A foot pursuit ensued of two suspects who fled the vehicle. A perimeter was established with the assistance of surrounding police agencies and the Ridgewood drone unit was deployed. After an extensive search of the area one of two suspects were taken into custody by a Paramus Police officer and the second is still at large.
