the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, The staff of The Ridgewood Blog has learned that on Thursday, 10/29, a Ridgewood Police department officer observed two (2) pieces of excavating equipment being operated on a Village street in violation of the NJ State Department of Motor Vehicle (NJDMV) regulation requiring vehicle registration and liability insurance.
The equipment was being operated by a contractor hired by the Village of Ridgewood to perform leaf removal services. Use of the equipment was suspended, at the request of Ridgewood PD, until such time that it complies with NJDMV requirements.
Who the hell hired these people.
I was thinking the same thing. Was that the village mamager’s job?
CHRIS, oh CHRIS, oh CHRIS, oh CHRIS, oh CHRIS hired them.
Lowest Bidder!
Wtf is going on here? No liability insurance?..
Unregistered vehicles????
This process of verifying insurability is to be done BEFORE the contractor starts working…not after. What if something happened? And accident or someone hurt? What’s going on here?
this is what happens when you try to hire out side people to do the work in ridgewood, this is happening because the mayor and council don’t replace workers in the d p w when they RETIRE The crew is down to 8 from 28 , and it was not chris. it was from up top. so now the village ha big problems, the dpw can not do all the work in town because of man power. and the out side contractors can,t do the work because of this problem, and the d p w has been bailing out the leaf contractor now for three days. the other day the village crew came past my home and pushed the leaves, the about five hours latter the contractor came to pick up my leave and made a mess in front of my home on 1,st street.
Poilce brought in to correct Village employee’s wrong doing. Way to tie up valuable taxpayers resources. This Village Manager and her staff are a complete disaster! Time to write a list of all the wrong doings and demand terminations. Things are very wrong when law enforcement has to police and supervise Village employees. Let’s start a movement.
I wonder were the new HR Manager is in all this. Maybe someone can clarify her job discerption other then she a friend of the Field Marshall
Same thing happened on S. Irving St a few weeks back. The paving contractor had the same problem with the paper work for some of their vehicles.
Dumb and Dumber is all one has to say about whatever goes on at village hall.
Village management knew the contractor was operating unlicensed vehicles for days; and did nothing to correct the situation.
the police are not and never will supervise village employees. they might have to on the upper management . so to 12;54 pm who are you talking about
they can’t even supervise that dep’t , the pd needs it’s own help.
who cares it,s leaves.
