Ridgewood Police Department reminds residents as we start to see the remnants of Zeta hit our area, we remind you to keep your mobile devices, power packs and other electronics charged. The already wet ground coupled with heavy rain and strong wind gusts could topple trees, branches which bring down power lines. If you experience any issues, know all the ways to report outages to PSE&G by clicking on the link below.

If you observe a downed power line stay at least 30 feet away (at least two full pole spans) from all downed wires and keep others from going near them as well. Call 911 or call PSE&G at 1-800-436-7734 immediately. … Never drive over or park near downed wires. If downed wires are in the street, near the curb, or on the sidewalk, stay far away.
