Ridgewood NJ, after a long battle with cancer Ridgewood resident Dr. Sheeraz Iqbal passed away .on Wednesday December 21st at 46 .Dr. Iqbal specialized in Pediatrics. Dr. Iqbal is and was affiliated with The Valley Hospital. “Doc” Iqbal, will be remembered as a legend of “The Dads’ Night Band” .
In a Facebook post his friend Jeffrey Creegan said, “Today our community lost one of its brightest lights. Dr. Sheeraz Iqbal is simply one of the best humans that ever graced us with his presence. A brilliant talented mind that impressed on stage in the home and at the office. A tremendous father, caring friend and compassionate physician. It is sad that he was taken so soon but we should all rejoice in the fact that he was here among us. We shared a special moment together as co chairs of DN 75. May family is forever indebted to you and I’m so happy we were friends. I will miss you Sheeraz. I’m your Creegan.”
The Dads Night Band also posted , “The Dads Night Band lost one of our bandmates, one of our brothers, Sheeraz ‘Doc’ Iqbal. He fought a tough battle with cancer and is finally at peace. We will never forget his kindness, his enthusiasm for everything he was involved in, his leadership and his ability to get the crowd on their feet. Forever a legend of the DNB, we love you Doc”
Jeffrey Creegan set up a GoFundMe page to help his wife Reem and two beautiful children, Deen and Hana.
