Ridgewood NJ ,the transition from the “one village one vote” referendum, shifting the school board election from April to November, presented a unique challenge. Following the advice of the school board attorney, the board decided to skip the November 2022 election. However, an unintended consequence emerged as all three members who had run in November 2021 were elected for three-year terms, instead of having one member serve a one-year term to maintain the required annual school board election cycle under New Jersey law. To rectify this, there is a proposal to hold an election in November 2024, with one seat for a one-year term and two seats for three-year terms, thereby reestablishing a more balanced 2-2-1 election cycle, which aligns with the state’s requirement for annual school board elections. This adjustment aims to ensure a fair and consistent election process for the school board moving forward.
In Monday nights Board of Ed meeting the Ridgewood Board of Education authorized :
Authorization for the Board Counsel to File a Motion Pursuant to NJ Court Rule 4:50-1(f), which addresses the three (3) board seats that are up for election in November 2024, asking that one of the seats be
limited to a one-year term for the 2025 calendar year only; and (2) that the board seat with the one-year term for 2025 only will then revert to a three-year term length in the November 2025 election and
for all elections thereafter resulting in the reestablishment of an annual school election in the Village of Ridgewood.

Siobhan Winograd is the one responsible for screwing this all up. Bill her for any taxpayers’ legal expenses related to straightening this all out.
and the League of Women Voters…
“working to protect and expand voting rights “
People actually voted to take away our voting power over the board of ed budget. That is a real head scratcher.
The hype was carefully phrased to omit that little detail.
Because they want to be included in the cool crowd vs doing their homework on issues that impact their wallet, kids education and management of this town
Lembo was responsible for not taking action when being the president of the board.
He doesn’t look like to do any real work. He’s there just for the ceremonial role!
The irony is that they lobbied that this would save taxpayer dollars. What they will spend in tax dollar on lawers feew and court costs now will be way more expensive.
According to their website, this is who was involved:

Just one more way for Brogan to extend place on the Board
Brogan is the only one with a brain on that board!
Your joking right ?
Bob Furman from one village one vote is campaign manager for MICALE.
Let’s ask Micale to pay for this expense from her campaign funds! She’s running as a teachers union candidate, which is another big expensive tax increase in the making.
I guess Mrs. Due-Diligence didn’t due her diligence.
I’m amazed every day that so many people with money could be so stupid.
