Ridgewood NJ, according to Saurabh Dani the Referendum timeline is :
1. LAN will give their final presentation at the board meeting on December 2. Public cannot ask questions that day and most likely the presentation will be before public comments if they follow previous meeting formats. So if you have a question that needs to be answered, it should be emailed to the board.
2. Jan meeting bond counsel will advice on how to “wrap around” this new 100M debt with existing outstanding debt (about 40M).
3. Dr Fishbein will present the referendum for a board vote in early Feb.
If you were part of public meetings for 11M garage design and saw three architects and design build firms taking public inputs at public meetings, don’t expect any if that with 29M performing arts center at BOE. It’s all being given to ONE firm.
The High School additions are out of control. Performing Arts Center with Orchestra Pit, music/dance rooms and a garage. Are they insane? Parents should pay for their children’s enrichment/hobbies. I will not pay for what theater/arts parents think that they are “owed”.
Most of my friends have moved within a few years of their youngest’s graduation. I stayed but if this passes I will move out of town too. This town will churn through families in the schools.
