Ridgewood NJ, the village has finally gotten its Christmas tree . It took a couple of extra weeks and a massive social media campaign but now the Ridgewood Christmas tree is on its way.
The tree, growing in Oakland, is the top pick from 15 or 20 evergreen candidates, Paul Vagianos told North Jersey media , a past president of the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce, which is responsible for the tree.
The tree will be tied, cut down and transported on a flatbed trailer, accompanied by a police escort and should be arriving at its new home at the end of East Ridgewood Avenue before Thanksgiving.
In time for this year’s tree lighting set for December 6th at 7:30 p.m. Part of the Chamber of Commerce’s 34th annual Downtown for the Holidays celebration, which is scheduled from 5:30 to 9 p.m. that day.
