Ridgewood NJ, in August of 2021 Ridgewood restaurant It’s Greek to Me, made headlines by requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination from all diners who wish to be seated inside the business’s main dining room. But according to OpenTable restaurant data showing that in more restrictive states restaurants are losing customers at an alarming rate while less restrictive states are seeing a boom in the restaurant business.
This chart below compares seated diners at a consistent sample of restaurants the past two weeks to the same time period in 2019. The cities at the top of the list are booming. The bottom are still in a deep freeze – with diners scared off by crime, COVID rules, etc…
Just a mess…I stay away.
If I have to go into the CBD I’ll park at Vets and walk over.
Their food is terrible too
NY is lifting the proof of vaccination rule for restaurants March 2nd (no more mask mandate either)

Turns out that NY set the date at March 7th for lifting of mandates and checking vaccine cards
Is that the future Mayor of Ridgewood in the picture ?
No, that’s an egotistical unstable maniac that bought his way into Ridgewood politics.
