Ridgewood NJ, This is a reminder that mandatory irrigation restrictions are still in effect. No irrigation is allowed on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays except for the use of a handheld hose, drip irrigation or if you have a Smart Controller Exemption. If you have an odd-numbered address, you may irrigate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. If you have an even-numbered address, you may irrigate on Wednesdays and Sundays.

  1. My neighbors ignore the rules and water DAILY.
There should be enforcement, or get rid of the rules.
Better yet, FIX the inadequate system so we dont have to ration water like some third world country.

  2. No most towns have that same problem. Look how hot it got the past week.

  3. sadly i see people using sprinklers all the time… no enforcement = why stop watering….

  4. We are not like other towns. We have a steady supply if only we could distribute it. We are here because almost half of the wells are either broken or unusable. The village government does not have the expertise to manage a water company. Sell it

  7. If the Village of Ridgewood ever complains about a need of money, then sell the water utility.

  8. and no rain in sight

  9. Oh well

  10. It’s difficult for those who spend a small fortune on landscaping only to see it all struggle and die. I’m speaking about gardens and not necessarily about Lawns. Hand watering is fine but very time consuming and doesn’t this use just as much water? Plus it is usually done during the day which is not the ideal time to water.

  11. Oh well plant cactus, remove your grass and put sand like they doing the west.

  12. I see people with a smart water controller exemption, water every day/ night. They can by pass the settings and turn on system manually. They say they can water anytime they want to.
So what good is having a smart controller if not played by the rules?

  13. A few bums are watering There. Lawns ever day . My next door Neighbor In the laws area is a real shit head .
