Football field and Stevens…..get ur canoe and fishing gear
Village hall and the stable are closed today
As is the recycling center.
Another $100k in cleanup expenses
How did the athletic field make it?
It didn’t. Portions were bubbling up due to the water pressure.
Maybe go back to real grass/sod and soil to absorb water.
Move the field to the parking lot at the high school, and move the parking lot down to the river. Or don’t. “Grass is too expensive to maintain” said everyone…
Would never be able to pave over the existing field in a flood zone – never happening
how about putting the field on stilts?
The turf vendors wont be able to kick back if you move to grass
4 inches of rain has dropped in Ridgewood .
I have an idea. Let’s break the bank and spend every cent on plastic grass in multiple flood zones so that we can keep cleaning and replacing it and never stop spending money we don’t have. Worth it!!!!
Sounds good to us…
Were
RICH and STUPID
I keep bumping my head on that low hanging doorway.
Should I fix the doorway, or just keep banging my head?
Post of the day !
The DEI answer would be to shave a few inches off the tops of the heads of those who had the benefit of tall privilege.
It’s time to pull out the astro turf. Instead of fixing/cleaning spend the money on removing and be done with it.
How about the water pollution plant.
What ever happened with the joint task force between the Board of Education and Village Council? Did they ever come up possible solutions?
MacGyver is picking this up…won’t take long to solve the issue.
Seavers Stadium under water….again…
Can you imagine if this was Snow?
Ridgewood will spend millions on turf. It is so short sighted and they don’t care. We have a bad problem that they are ignoring. So stupid. Fix the real problem and go back to grass.
wait have the baseball guys mentioned this wouldn’t have happened at schedler ?

How about the homes behind the recycling yard. Is that all flooded.
Our neighborhood was spared – not sure about the houses directly connected to the HHK Brook but from where I am they looked OK
