Hache followed a long career in banking, finance and business development with several terms in elective office including Mayor and Councilman of Ridgewood, and Bergen County Commissioner.  He was selected through a nationwide search led by the Ridgewood YMCA Board of Directors with support from the YMCA of the USA and New Jersey YMCA State Alliance. He succeeds Ernest Lamour, now CEO of the YMCA of Greater Rochester. Hache has resigned as Bergen County Commissioner in order to focus on his new position with the Ridgewood YMCA and to avoid any conflicts with the organization’s policies regarding political activities. He will officially assume the role of CEO on March 6, 2023.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to be part of this Y’s tremendous legacy and eager to start this new chapter in my service to Northern New Jersey. I am excited to work in partnership with our talented staff and volunteers to help our community members belong, grow and thrive.” shares Hache.

“Among the many fine candidates for the position of Ridgewood Y CEO, Ramon’s accomplishments and history of advancing the community were unique, and we are confident about what our Y will become under his leadership” says Shannon Warren, Chair of the Ridgewood YMCA Board of Directors.

Through Hache’s leadership role in Feed the Front Lines, Ridgewood’s innovative food security program that has generated more than $4 million in grants, thousands of meals have been served to Bergen County residents in need while saving hundreds of restaurant jobs during the pandemic and beyond.

“Ramon’s contributions to the Bergen County Board of Commissioners have been impactful and appreciated,” says Thomas Sullivan, Chairman of the Bergen County Board of Commissioners. “His energy and passion will be missed, but they will be well-used in his new role and we wish him the best of luck.”

  6. He probably seen the writing on the wall in Village hall. And you know what he must’ve said, I don’t need to soccer vision, and the clean up this mess forget it.

  7. Homeland Security complaint garbage cans are not required on the YMCA property.

  8. Fired for running for council. Ramon and his buddy started the gross incompetence rumor to save face that they broke the law. It’s documented. Don’t worry. That she hadn’t outed them is remarkable.
He’s the lowest of the low. Wonder who’s pocket he’s in that he took this job and I wonder what he has planned. Maybe he finally needed a legit paycheck. Since his only money had come from being a dem party puppet for YEARS. He’s that weak.
A giant donation from his buddy Saraceno to save that dying lump of crap building or what.
    People get sick in there.
    Ask the employees.
    Wait and see people.

  9. Um. He IS the writing on the wall at village hall. He’s running it on behalf of the state dems.
This turn of events has his relationship with builders written all over it.

  10. Just wait for a few years until he creates the conditions to sell this property to developers and gets his cut and moves on.
He’s planted there by the developers just like Weitz and Winograd.

    1. Prime Ridgewood real estate. When the Y follows Valley to Paramus, the development there will be huge.

  11. Yup, this move has development written all over it. Ridgewood YMCA Board of Directors and Trustees let the fox in the henhouse.

    1. Don’t be so sure.

      The Y moves very slowly.

Ernest used Ridgewood Y as a weigh station.

  12. Which property? The “Y”? Yeah, sure.

  13. They can do that no one can stop them.

  14. It’s a old building. They can move it to Paramus in a second. A lot of land around. You get backing from the community county and state. It’s definitely done. And of course the money.

    1. You are correct, a very old building.

I would go to Wyckoff Y but it’s too far.
