Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood’s remarkable season concluded in the Group 4 State Final against Freehold Township, finishing with an impressive 17-2-2 record and securing a third consecutive sectional title championship. Despite this success, they faced a 3-0 defeat in the Group State Finals, marking only their second loss of the season and the third in the past two years, with two defeats against the Patriots. Coach Kay emphasized that the loss doesn’t hurt more than losing to any other team. The 2023 season showcased Ridgewood’s continued dominance in the Big North Conference since the COVID-affected 2020 year. The Maroons have consistently triumphed in the sectional finals since 2021 and made consecutive appearances in the state final. Wait till next year !
