Ridgewood NJ, the rat problem persists in the Central Business District . Once again sources are reporting a big rat problem behind Ridgewood coffee and apartments. Rats are not usually seen during the day unless disturbed from their protective harborage or because of intolerable competition from other rats. If rats are seen during the day that usually means a very large rodent population is nearby.

With all the heavy construction in the Central Business District the “rat issue” continues to resurface .  This is a public safety issue that needs to be addressed more effectively. Perhaps a more coordinated Central Business District wide effort . The creation of a  pedestrian plaza every weakened  and all the renewed activity in town adds urgency to dealing with the problem .

With  some restaurants asking for “vaccine cards ”  you would think public health would be a priority , not just grand standing for headlines.

  1. Send them to the parking garage have them pay for a space.

  2. I told you behind some of these buildings and alleyways are filthy. The Board of Health needs to inspect behind all buildings and alleyways throughout the CBD. And that’s just the start of it. Guess what just like I said a month ago the basements need to be inspected because that’s where the rats are.

Rats know garbage when they see it. Why pay for what is free?

  4. Yeah what about Ware the village park’s the Sanitation vehicles On chestnut street. We just herd they are. Running around in that lot too.

  5. Every restaurant with a dumpster provides a buffet for this disease carrying rodents.
We need strict fines, enforcement, and public posting of the offending places.
I don’t want to eat in a place that could have rats and their diseases.

  6. Starting to look like New York City.

  7. But we are wearing masks.
That’s enough to prevent catching any diseases.

    Follow the science.
