Old Bridge NJ, tone deaf Middlesex County Republican organization invited former Governors Tom Kean , Chris Christie and Christine Todd Whitman to headline the Forsgate Country Club fund raiser event. The planned participation of former Governor Christine Todd Whitman, who recently expressed her hope that Republicans would lose Congress, and that president Trump should resign had drawn strong criticism from many party leaders and activists.
One of those activist was former candidate for governor Joseph Rudy Rullo , Rullo told us in a Facebook interview , “She was invited after she asked Trump to step down and wasn’t disinvited until myself and Steve Rogers shamed Lucille Panos Chairwoman of Middlesex County Republican Organization for having her as VIP speaker. It came to a head when she said she wanted Congress to lose but it took several days showing this was a spontaneous reaction to our massive social media campaign sometimes even tagging Panos in statements.
Whitman is a Trump basher so the disinvite wasn’t necessary as she should have never been asked in the first place. Steven Rogers has solid ground forces in Middlesex we put immense pressure on Chairwomen Panos. We called out Panos for choosing her day 1, since she asked Trump to resign a few weeks before when he spoke to Putin. It wasn’t until she said she wanted Congress to lose that our campaign to oust her got the traction to bring uncomfortable attention on Chairwomen Panos .
Former Governor Whitman is best remembers for stealing money from state pensions and claiming the air was clear at ground zero as head of the EPA .
Rullo is now suggesting that Lucille Panos Chairwoman of Middlesex County Republican Organization and the New Jersey Republican State Chairman Doug Steinhardt, should both resign over this egregious error in judgement.
