Teaneck NJ, a tragic accident occurred on Route 80 in Teaneck early Saturday morning, claiming the life of a 38-year-old man from Hillsdale, according to New Jersey State Police.
At around 3:08 a.m., a 40-year-old man from Hasbrouck Heights was driving eastbound on Route 80 when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with the concrete barrier near milepost 68.
The driver sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Sadly, his passenger, identified as Richard Bahamonte, 38, of Hillsdale, succumbed to his injuries sustained in the accident.
The incident remains under investigation by State Police.
