Rutherford NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of SEAN R. DYNAN (DOB: 8/08/1988; single; unemployed) of Rutherford, NJ, on charges of luring and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
In January 2023, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit engaged in online conversations with SEAN DYNAN, who believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old child. During the exchanges, DYNAN engaged in sexually explicit dialogue and arranged to meet with the purported 14-year-old child for sexual intercourse. On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, DYNAN drove to a location in Paramus, NJ to meet the purported 14-year-old child, who was actually an undercover detective from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit. DYNAN was apprehended without incident.
As a result of the investigation, SEAN DYNAN was arrested on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree luring, N.J.S.A. 2C:13-6(a); and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A 24-4a(1). DYNAN was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
