Saddle Brook Crash Leads to DWI Arrest

Saddle Brook NJ, on a Sunday in Saddle Brook, an incident unfolded on I-80 involving an overturned Ford pickup truck and a Honda Civic crashing into a guardrail, resulting in injuries. Following the incident, a 22-year-old individual from Teaneck was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI).

New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan reported that state troopers responded to the scene in Saddle Brook around 3:19 a.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that both the Honda Civic and the Ford F-150 pickup truck were traveling east on I-80. At milepost 62.4, the Ford collided with the rear of the Honda, causing the Honda to impact the right guardrail and the Ford to overturn. The overturned pickup ultimately came to a stop on the ramp leading to exit 62B.

The occupants of the Ford sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Pedro Ramirez Mejia of Teaneck, was subsequently arrested on charges of DWI.
