Gov. Christie dropped the hammer on the exorbitant wages superintendents in some of the state’s more than 600 school districts make. That act would hold most to under the $175,000 the governor makes unless they work in the biggest cities or get bonuses. It would take effect with new contracts and maybe by December rules would be in place.
