Glen Rock NJ, a tractor trailer truck delivering merchandise to a Lincoln Avenue located Glen Rock supermarket, struck and knocked over a light pole in the store’s parking lot on Wednesday morning, 02/09. The truck became impaled on the light pole’s concrete support base, which caused a significant quantity of motor oil to leak from the tractor onto the parking lot surface. Personnel from Glen Rock Fire Department and the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad applied absorbent material to the spilled motor oil. A heavy duty tow truck was dispatched from Pennsylvania to remove the truck from its predicament. No injuries were reported in the incident. New Jersey Department of Children and Families Former Employee Claims State COVID Testing Is A Scam

Trenton NJ, a reader sent us this troubling story , on November 15, 2021, after twenty months of working remotely, the State of New Jersey, Department of Children and Families (where I work), returned their 6700 employees to their respective offices without prior testing!  Just a few weeks before, in a Statewide Zoom meeting, our Commissioner admitted that approximately 40% of our workforce remained unvaccinated.  HOWEVER, despite this fact, all employees were ordered to report back to our offices on November 15th without any prior testing requirement to do so.  On November 16th, Covid testing kits were passed out to those unvaxxed and we were told to have our tests submitted to a UPS drop box by noon on WEDNESDAY the 17th.  Our results would be emailed to us within 48 hours.  I’m hoping you see the issue here right?  6700 employees were brought back into the office to be there ALL week before ANYBODY got results of these “tests!”  So any number of employees could have been “Covid positive” IN THE OFFICE all week before any “test” results were received.  This was one of the many reasons that I refused to comply.  Obviously this was NOT about our health and keeping us all “safe” as, if it were by their standards, we would have been required to have a negative test before returning 6700 employees to their respective offices, no??

About

The Ridgewood blog is written for and about Ridgewood New Jersey . It is a local event and opinion blog with a pro free market point of view. We publish local points of view about local, state and national issues.

The Ridgewood blog is an organic news source . News items are sprinkled among reader opinions continually generating more opinions and discussion . Like it or not the Readers are the blog and the editors operate more like a referees. Sometimes we weigh in too much and sometimes too little ,it not an exact science and it takes a lot of effort to balance freedom of expression with over the top name calling. Frankly we think its gotten better and better over the years with broader discussions and greater participation.

The blog generally does not post comments on peoples personal lives ,such as allegations of adulterous relationships, underage lovers ,drug or alcohol binges , teen issues and so on . Like everything there are odd exceptions.

Anonymity is an option and is and will remain available for readers protection. People who complain about anonymous posters are people seeking revenge or looking to shut down public dissent. Unlike Facebook and  many other forms of social media we make an effort to protect your privacy where possible. We do not sell your data to third parties but we may from time to time try to sell you something.

You are directly responsible for your comments and the Ridgewood Police department has proven very adept at finding those who cross the line.
