Lodi NJ, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the Division of Consumer Affairs (“Division”) announced today that 23 unlicensed movers were issued Notices of Violation (“NOVs”) and assessed civil penalties totaling $125,000, as a result of Operation Safe Move, a State-led undercover operation targeting movers doing business without being licensed by the Division, as required by law.

Lodi NJ, American Legion Post 136 Commander Francis Carrasco is humbled to announce that The Doughboy Foundation (doughboy.org), has chosen Post 136 and its namesake, World War I Private Joseph M. Lane, to be honored with the playing of TAPS starting tomorrow, April 30 at 5pm, and continuing through Saturday, May 4 at 5pm, at the National World War I Memorial in Washington, D.C. The playing of TAPS, our national song of remembrance, will commemorate the U.S. Army service and ultimate sacrifice of Joseph M. Lane. The events will be live-streamed on YouTube only. Construction Lift Vehicle Struck at Route 80 Overpass in Lodi

Hackensack NJ, on Wednesday afternoon City of Hackensack Fire Department  Deputy 4, Rescue 1 and Engine 1 were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident under an overpass off an exit from Route 80. The exact exit was unclear, units investigated until the accident was found off of exit #62 in Lodi. Construction Workers using a lift truck were struck from behind by a truck. At least one injury was reported as well as a minor fluid spill.
