Ridgewood NJ, Praket Nigam, a Senior at Ridgewood High School who performed the national anthem A cappella at the Ridgewood 113th annual Fourth of July parade this year, marking his third consecutive performance at this event. Praket also has had the honor of singing the national anthem at the Indian Cultural Society of Rockland’s August 15th India Independence Day parade event for the past two years, a testament to his talent and commitment to cultural harmony.

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood 4th of July Celebration will take place on July 4th. Flag raising at the train station at 9 a.m. – parade begins at 10 a.m.  Fireworks & entertainment on Veterans Field beginning with music at 6:00 pm & fireworks at approximately 9:15 pm.  Tickets to the fireworks are available at Backyard Living, Bookends, Daily Treat, Goffle Brook Farms, and The Wine Seller. Also available are food trucks and a beer garden, on Veterans Field.  50/50 tickets are available for sale at Parkwood Deli, on the corner of Glen Avenue and Erie Avenue, in Midland Park, and the winning ticket will be drawn just prior to the fireworks beginning.  Come and enjoy this annual tradition.

Former RHS Football Coach and Teacher Roger Sweeney’s Memorial Service and Time of Remembrance Celebration
