Ridgewood NJ, as part of its 40th anniversary celebration of NJ TRANSIT Rail Operations, NJ TRANSIT honored the “Forty Year Club,” which consists of 28 employees who have been with the railroad or its corporate predecessors since the initiation of Rail Operations service in 1983. At today’s Board of Directors meeting, a proclamation was presented to this distinguished group by NJDOT Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chair Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kevin S. Corbett and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Rail Operations James A. Sincaglia.

Inflation Shows Signs of Reacceleration

Washington DC, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) rose 0.6 percent in August on a seasonally adjusted basis, after increasing 0.2 percent in July, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 3.7 percent before seasonal adjustment.

Murphy Administration Accused of Whitewashing of Critical Budget Information

Trenton NJ, on Friday afternoon, more than two months after the law required legislators’ requests for budget funding to be released to the public, Democrats released requests that all have this disclaimer stamped at the top: “The Budget Bill includes this Resolution, either as submitted or in a modified form.” It’s not clear how original budget requests were sanitized, but they have almost all been modified to remove required explanations about how the money will be spent.

Praket also has had the honor of singing the national anthem at the Indian Cultural Society of Rockland’s August 15th India Independence Day parade event for the past two years, a testament to his talent and commitment to cultural harmony.

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood 4th of July Celebration will take place on July 4th. Flag raising at the train station at 9 a.m. – parade begins at 10 a.m.  Fireworks & entertainment on Veterans Field beginning with music at 6:00 pm & fireworks at approximately 9:15 pm.  Tickets to the fireworks are available at Backyard Living, Bookends, Daily Treat, Goffle Brook Farms, and The Wine Seller. Also available are food trucks and a beer garden, on Veterans Field.  50/50 tickets are available for sale at Parkwood Deli, on the corner of Glen Avenue and Erie Avenue, in Midland Park, and the winning ticket will be drawn just prior to the fireworks beginning.  Come and enjoy this annual tradition.
