Ridgewood NJ, Village of Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos commented in a email, in a feeling that many of us share , “I can’t quite believe that it’s been 23 years since the attacks on 9/11. We all remember where we were on that fateful day as we watched in disbelief the events that took place. Ridgewood was hit especially hard as 12 members of our community were lost to us. I urge you to visit the “Portraits” exhibit at the Ridgewood Public Library as we honor those friends, neighbors and their families. ”
“Portraits” of the 12 residents Ridgewood lost in the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001, will be displayed in the Ridgewood Library Auditorium which is open 7 days a week. This exhibit includes photos of residents lost alongside remembrances of each of them, reminding us who they were and why each was so special. Remembering keeps them with us even though they’re gone.
The Belcher Auditorium in the Ridgewood Library is open every day and provides a tranquil place to reflect and remember.
