Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Mayor Ramon M. Hache  says ,”social distancing is the most effective way to contain and prevent the spread of the virus” in a Facebook post the Mayor reiterated suggestions of the department of health.
The Mayor said ,”I urge everyone to please take the recommendations of the Department of Health regarding social distancing seriously. At this time, while we are investigating the details regarding confirmed cases, social distancing is the most effective way to contain and prevent the spread of the virus. If you have to be around other people, keep a minimum distance of 6 feet between you when possible, and avoid large social gatherings.”

At the same time Ridgewood public schools have closed, colleges have been closing as well and many college students are returning home. I have been receiving many reports of young adults congregating and having parties. This is not the time for parties and homecoming reunions. They defeat the purpose of the school closures. Parents, we need your help in reinforcing this message however unpopular it may be.
We are all part of a community and must take responsibility for the safety and well-being of others. Let’s please work together and act responsibly.

  1. Despite all of the warnings, on Sunday morning Ridgewood’s police department was requested to clear the RHS stadium field of a large group playing an organized pick up game. Stevens field was crowded with soccer players on Saturday afternoon.

  2. Vets, Maple Field with kids/adults playing sports in fresh air….doesn’t have to be in a large group and plenty of space to spread out to have a catch, kick a ball, etc.

  3. Does it mean anything significant to be an American anymore? Or are we to be told that that is and always was a mere delusion?

This is some hard core effeminacy, people.

  4. Joe Walker – couldn’t agree more…get some exercise…just don’t high five our buds.

The County park was packed with people getting some fresh air.

I walked over to Schedler today but I couldn’t see over the berm. I saw that the haunted house is still up. What’s the deal with that…?

  5. F these rules.
