Ramsey NJ, Ramsey Rescue reminds drivers , “Turn around – don’t drown”.
This morning’s flash flooding required members of Ramsey Rescue to check in with numerous residents who were blocked from exiting and accessing their homes due to flooding from the Ramsey Brook. Crews were able to make contact with various residents stuck in their homes to ensure their safety and were able to secure the scene. Working alongside Ramsey OEM we were able to evaluate multiple scenes across the borough and resolve flooding conditions and traffic hazards.
There are numerous flooded streets around town – the Ramsey DPW has opened all necessary flood gates and water is subsiding.
