Ramsey NJ, on January 15th , Ramsey Rescue, Ramsey Fire and Ramsey EMS were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Rollover with possible entrapment. A vehicle left the roadway and rolled over entrapping the driver. Rescue’s crews quickly freed the driver and transferred care to EMS personnel who transported the patient to the hospital.
Ramsey NJ, Ramsey Rescue names Ranya Makkawi 2023 Volunteer of the Year. Ranya joined Ramsey Rescue and has immediately made an immeasurable impact on the squad. Both to our operations in the field and administratively – she delivers excellence. Ranya recently completed the Firefighter One day program, at the top of her class , an extremely accelerated learning program. She even just stated Fire 2! She is the first to lend a helping hand, taking shifts and finding projects to make a difference. Ranya serves as Ramsey Rescue corporate secretary, and has stepped up to the plate to help with a number of jobs outside of her daily responsibilities .
Ramsey NJ, crews from Rescue and Fire responded to Route 17 South Bound for a MVC roll over in front of Ramsey Volvo with injuries. Traffic was diverted and roadway debris cleared while tow companies removed the vehicle. NJDOT offered a rapid response .

Working fire at Bears Cove this afternoon. Ramsey Fire Department, Rescue, Police, EMS and OEM responded. Fire was knocked down quickly. All safe and sound including these little guys.
Ramsey NJ, at 21:15 hours on Thursday July 6 upon wrapping up our monthly business meeting Ramsey Rescue, Ramsey NJ Fire Department, and Ramsey Ambulance Corps were dispatched for a reported MVA with rollover in flames in the area of Ramsey Mazda at Route 17 Northbound.
Ramsey NJ, this morning at approximately 6:54 Ramsey Rescue, Ramsey Fire and Ramsey Ambulance were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with Entrapment on Main Street. The patient was rapidly extricated and responding units assisted in securing occupants of the structure and working with the building department & borough engineers to determine viability of the underlying building structure. Units remained in scene as Ramsey Police completed their work.
Ramsey NJ, a horrific Wednesday afternoon, 12/28, collision on Route 17 northbound in Ramsey, involving two (2) motor vehicles and a pedestrian who was crossing the busy highway when he/she was struck, resulted in the temporary closure of Route 17 in both directions through portions of Allendale, Ramsey, Saddle River, and Upper Saddle River.
The pedestrian sustained life threatening injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Numerous public safety agencies and the NJDOT responded to the incident. On scene were Ramsey Rescue ,Ramsey, New Jersey Volunteer Fire Department , Upper Saddle River Police, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office , Valley Health System.
Upper Saddle River NJ, no injuries were reported in connection with a Tuesday morning, 05/31, collision involving two (2) tractor trailers and a Toyota RAV4 on Route 17 southbound in Upper Saddle River. One (1) of the tractor trailers involved jackknifed across two (2) lanes of the roadway. A large diesel fuel spill occurred when a saddle tank on the jackknifed truck ruptured.
Ramsey NJ, members from Ramsey Police, Ramsey EMS, Ramsey Rescue, Ramsey OEM and Ramsey Fire Department were on scene Wednesday morning for a double-rollover crash in Ramsey on Route 17 just North of QuickChek.
Ramsey NJ, Multiple ambulances were dispatched to aid the victims of a two (2) vehicle, early Saturday evening, 07/10, crash on Route 17 southbound near Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and removed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks. Ramsey Police, Ramsey EMS, Ramsey Rescue, and Ramsey Fire department responded to the incident. Ramsey Police implemented a full closure of Route 17 southbound immediately following the crash, then opened a single travel lane after all victims and one (1) vehicle were removed from the highway. The highway was completely re-opened within 60 minutes of patrol officers’ arrival at the scene.
Saddle River NJ, the Saddle River Fire Department was requested to a home on the East side of town for a reported structure fire. Upon signing in service, Chief Salvatori was advised by Saddle River Police Department that the attached garage was fully involved and he asked for his 2nd alarm mutual aid companies.
Ramsey NJ, Ramsey Police, Ramsey Fire, Ramsey Rescue, and Ramsey EMS responded to aid multiple victims of a four (4) vehicle crash at the intersection of East Crescent Avenue and Lake Street, Ramsey on Thursday afternoon, 02/27. Upper Saddle River Police assisted with traffic control. All four (4) vehicles were towed from the scene.
