Sunrise Assisted Living coming to Ridgewood?

the staff of the Ridgewood Blog

Ridgewood NJ, several members of our staff have noticed these advertisements that have recently popped up on line. Our mayor and council have been mum, of course, about any plans to bring Sunrise Assisted Living to Ridgewood.  So much for the governmental transparency they continue to boast about.

  1. Those same ads keep popping up when I’m on line. Where are they building and when?

  2. The old Valley Hospital, it’s just a matter of time I was informed yesterday by next year there will be no more surgeries in Ridgewood, that information came from my surgeon. And why would they when they’re building $1 billion state of the art a facility.

  3. That’s exactly what happened with Healthbarn. All of a sudden we saw notices on Facebook that a business was coming to Habernickel. The neighbors had NO idea

    1. I heard they were saying it was a done deal for HB before they even had the proper meeting. They had to put her at the Stable because they didn’t follow the rules of green acres. How this business got in is still a mystery

what does the village make off of this give away????

  4. Just watch what they propose to build on the Valley site. Then all those banging table for a turf field and live by Valley will flip the channel and protest against development in their neighborhood.

  5. there are two Sunrise facilities in Paramus, perhaps they call it “Ridgewood” ? There are at least 4 Assisted living places close by, we don’t really need it here.

  6. The sponsored ad link says new Senior LUXURY APARTMENTS coming to Ridgewood. Nothing about Assisted Living.
Ridgewood could use a well planned location just for Seniors Independent Living and Assisted Living. There are many Seniors aging in empty nest homes.
Its not all about the kids.

  7. How about building townhouses at the dead end of lakeview dr. Do we really need the compost yard anymore.
