Fair Lawn NJ, a dramatic Thursday morning collision in Fair Lawn sent both vehicles involved off the roadway, with one crashing onto a home’s front lawn and the other mounting a retaining wall. The accident occurred on October 10 in the 300 block of Saddle River Road.
A Volkswagen Tiguan ended up resting on the lawn of a nearby residence, while a Mazda CX-5 came to a halt after climbing a decorative retaining wall in the parking lot of a local animal hospital. Both drivers were injured in the crash and transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. One of the victims, complaining of chest pains, was met by a paramedic team en route to the hospital for additional care.
Both wrecked vehicles were removed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks. A dog that had been riding in the Volkswagen was taken into the animal hospital for evaluation.
Fair Lawn Police and EMS quickly responded to the scene to manage the incident and ensure the safety of those involved.
