Glen Rock NJ, the Taylor Aguilar Memorial Scholarship Fund is, after a hiatus due to Covid, once again hosting an in person Oktoberfest on October 8, 2023 at 1PM at the Glen Rock Athletic Club The event will raise funds in Taylor’s memory that will be directly donated to children in our area with special needs or medical conditions.
Plenty of German food and beer, activities for kids, live band and more.

The Taylor Aguilar Scholarship Fund seeks to raise scholarship funds for children with special needs to honor Taylor’s memory. Taylor and her brothers MJ and John were born on March 5, 2007. Shortly after birth Taylor was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and a heart defect, which required surgery to repair when she was just 6 weeks old.
Taylor began to experience issues with her lungs when she was 2 years old. She braved her way through numerous lengthy hospital stays and various surgeries, including the removal of a large part of her intestine and a tracheostomy. Ultimately, Taylor’s ailments proved to be too much and she passed away on October 16, 2014.
The Fund seeks to keep Taylor’s memory alive by helping other children with special needs through various fundraising efforts. The Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. As such, all donations are tax deductible
