Ridgewood NJ, TIES (Teens in Emergency Services) is our youth division of Ridgewood Emergency Services with high school students interested in all facets of healthcare and public safety, who complete trainings and drills as well as volunteer in the community. They did a great job volunteering at Ridgewood’s annual Downtown for the Holiday’s event!

Ridgewood Emergency Services volunteers were in full force during the annual Downtown for the Holiday’s event. In addition to EMS coverage and traffic assistance, our divisions helped with monitoring crowds and even provided an ornament decorating station on the west side.

  1. This is a great club for a student who is potentially interested in healthcare or law enforcement. While a member of the club, the students take CPR certification and Stop the Bleed certification courses. They learn about so many aspects of emergency services and there are guest speakers like the canine rescue team. The club meets one Wednesday night per month and also have volunteer opportunities like the one mentioned in this article, patrolling the holiday event, handing out water during the Ridgewood Memorial Day run, and others. A really special club where students have direct interaction with the EMS Police and Fire departments.

  2. Thank you to all of them deeply appreciate your service. Happy holidays
