Item 1: How to get the taxpayers to fund a Ginormous Garage for our failing businesses
We should have a garage in our town. What we have at this time is a joke. What they presented last night would be a big step forward and help out down town.
Only by forcing landlords to charge reasonable rents will retail have a chance to return to Ridgewood. Nothing else comes close. The council is considering charging monthly fees for having a storefront empty. They should have done it a long time ago. Only money talks to those people.
Total money sink.
At least the freeloading developers and business owners will be happy.
Many taxpayers already burdened by towns mismanagement of costs
object to this mistaken boondoggle.
pave all the lots..reconstruct the concrete walkways replace the lighting and install parking kiosk options like Westfield.
no one has even spoke about the operating losses due to the safety and
operating personel needed to man the Garage 24 x 7. will be drug central
with shredded cover for the local and train riding drug dealers..would I send a daughter up there too park on a dark winter morning..never..stop this boondoggle.Do your jobs ..fix pave and reline and relight the surface slum lots
11:07 money for empty storefronts? what country is this ..then they will tax you for an empty house while you are in transition..this is not Russia ..yet…garage is a political rag ..stop this outrage..
