  1. Can someone explain why the same resident, LW, is over and over and over and over the only person at every Board meeting? I guess she is the only person to twist facts to her interpretation…. Since 98% of the Village don’t go to Board meetings, I guess the entire Board Of Ed is doing a pretty bad job…. Board Members, don’t you realize that NJ doesn’t care OR KNOW about their own statutes? You cry and moan over DINOSAUR rules that are outdated!!! Ever hear of the old saying “everything is legal in NJ as long as you don’t get caught?” LOL!!!! Board Members, STOP WORRY ABOUT LAWS THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT these days!!! Worry about aides. Worry about hiring full time staff. Worry about the buildings falling apart. Worry about issues THAT IMPACT KIDS, NOT YOURSELF AND YOUR INTERPRETATIONS OF ANCIENT RULES!!!

    1. She’s a taxpayer…. Since BoE is 66% of our taxes, whether or not you have kids in school, you should be concerned. Things like directing BoE funds to pay for a private daycare (ITDC) should concern you . . . it draws funds away from ACTUAL STUDENTS!!! Paying $900K for boilers when several bids came in for 1/2 that should concern you. THESE THINGS IMPACT ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Is that the same LW who is behind all the ethics charges against BOE members? look it up. She’s costing the taxpayers money. But, thank God she’s been a gadfly at BOE meetings for 3 decades- to what end? Has she rooted out corruption? Exposed fraud? Or been a good thorn for all of us? I think not!

    1. LW is a concerned taxpayer … more so than most of us. She’s been diligent, as you note, for 30 years despite NOT having kids in the school system anymore. She is choosing to stay in Ridgewood and pay exhorbitant school taxes and wants to be ensured that her money is well spent. LW is smart and does a ton of homework. And, yes, she has had an impact . . . recall the BoE misdirecting funding to ITC?

I, for one, am glad to have her.

  4. As a current parent of kids in all three divisions (elementary, middle, RHS) I would rather see parents at the BOE advocating for the students. The schools are there for the students and that’s what makes Ridgewood such a great place GREAT SCHOOLS. Someone who seems to have an axe to grind undermining our great schools is not good.

  5. I agree. She deserves credit for speaking up and exercising her right to free speech, but hey parents let’s exercise our voices at the BOE for our kids. Let’s not allow our schools to be pulled down by people who don’t want to invest in public education.

    1. But let’s in wst in education WISELY. If we pty mester can no longer afford taxes and sell our houses to families, you all are screwed. So pay attention to where and how your money is being spent. Want to spend an extra $400k on hearing? An extra million on windows? How about funding private daycare with school taxes. SMH.

  6. “How about funding private daycare with school taxes. SMH.”

Funding ANYTHING with school taxes other than public schools is a clear money grab. I wonder if the private/religious/charter school crowd would support a private fire department for the chosen few funded by the rest of us.
