Ridgewood NJ, Due to high flu activity in the region, The Valley Hospital is currently restricting visitors to prevent the spread of the flu. Effective Monday, January 13, no one under the age of 14 will be allowed to visit the following departments: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery, and Mother Baby. In addition, anyone with flu symptoms, such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose, or fever, should be asked to refrain from visiting.

The Valley Hospital continually monitors information from local, state and federal health officials to remain up-to-date on this year’s flu. We view this visitation policy change to be in the best interests of our patients and the community.

Valley appreciates your cooperation in helping to comply with the new restrictions

  1. Less people for the staff to steal from, I guess.

  2. I wish when people get sick they would just stay home. Unfortunately a lot of people are unable to do this in fear of being fired for example. I think you’re doing the right thing Valley. 😊
