Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark ,”Now that the leaves have really started to fall, our Streets Division is hard at work collecting the leaves at the curb.  Crews will even be working longer days to get the job done!”

Please find above our new, updated, Leaf Collection flyer that was previously mailed to each residential home.  Please use it as a reference as to the collection schedule in each area of the Village. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Streets Division at 201-670-5585.

  1. Are they still giving out tickets to residents that don’t adhere to this ever changing schedule?

  2. Every year the same story.

  3. Probably not, the police department no that this occurs every year. Do you know what many years ago the system worked out better. Put out the damn leaves and let the town workers pick them up six days a week like other towns. Working the cruise an hour and a half every day is doing very little. As a contractor, they need to work every single day. Take a vantage of the weather to beat the snow. And ice. Thank you, yours truly.

    1. Well said!

  4. Why can’t the village keep an updated webpage with actual leaf pickup schedules.
I put out my leaves 10 days ago and some sit there, some blowback and I put them out again today.
    Same thing year after year.
They won’t be picked up until next week at this point. If someone gave a sh*t, we’d have a real pickup schedule updated daily. We have the technology, too bad nobody cares or is accountable.

  5. The worst leaf pickup process in north jersey. A throwback to the 1960’s.

  6. I think the schedule is response to complying with a state mandate about not allowing leaves out in the street for more than 7 days due to storm water runoff.
We wouldn’t want the organic natural leaves to affect beautiful newark bay.
Brought to you by the dopes in trenton that banned plastic bags.

  7. They never even came by in Oct for area C. They came last Thursday (Hawes area) so I guess ours will sit there and blow back until week of 29th.

  8. Who is the pay loaders, they have no clue what they are doing.

  9. And they leave a mess.
I remember some years back, there was personel that raked/blew the leaves left on our grass by the curb after the truck came by. They don’t care anymore

  10. sssssss, the village manager is busy advertising our village to the world and posting on FB. leaves can wait.

  11. Just pick up my leaves. Get the bulk up. Worry about cleaning up at the last round.

  12. And what does any of the top management know about leaves. Zip, zip.
