Hasbrouck Heights NJ, at 5:30 am, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department was dispatched to Route 17 N by the Extra Space Storage for a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer on fire.
Chief 60 confirmed the working fire with extension to the nearby structures (used car dealership) and multiple other vehicles on fire. Several mutual aid towns responded to the scene to assist with the prolonged operation.
City of Hackensack Firefighters arrived at 5:45 am with Ladder 1, Deputy 4 and Safety Chief responded.
Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights was closed in both directions and no injuries were reported .
Talk about lucky, can you imagine if this happened a few hours later in traffic. It would’ve been a major disaster. The local fire department did a amazing job.
