Ridgewood NJ, during the storm this past weekend, a large tree along the Saddle River was down and up against the Linwood Avenue Bridge. The Ridgewood Parks Division and Streets Division worked together to remove the tree and clear the debris from the river.

  6. Keith, Maybe now efforts can move over to East of Route 17? Taxation without representation

  7. The homeowners near the Saddle River have problems but they are not VOR problems. There is flooding up and down the river.

They are very vocal and post Incessantly about their problems. We have had more torrential rains in the last 20 years than I can remember. Yards that are not near bodies of water have had recent flooding issues because the ground just can’t absorb the rapidly pooling water. Something has changed …….

They are wrong to believe that posting on Facebook will change their plight. The same people post and respond to each other on a daily basis. They complain so much I don’t know how they will ever be able to sell their homes. They have ruined the housing market for themselves and their neighbors. A house that has had major flooding problems (not on Saddle River Road) sold two years ago for a decent amount. The flooding history is public record and was disclosed but someone bought it.

If they want State action they should contact the state.

  8. Yes the state needs to get involved.
