Cresskill NJ, on Sunday February 27th the Cresskill Fire Department and Cresskill Police Department were dispatched to a tree crane that had gotten caught and entangled in electric overhead wires around 9:40 am in front of 78 Roosevelt Street. When firefighters arrived at the scene the crane had tipped back on its boom and the truck cab was approximately 25 feet off the ground in the air.
Orange and Rockland Power cut off the electricity to keep the truck from becoming electrified. Five nearby residences were evacuated . Tumino’s Towing was requested and responded by being able to lower the truck back to the ground .No injuries reported . Cresskill Fire and Police cleared the scene by 1:30pm.
