Demarest Nj, according to Fire Chief John McLoughlin , Demarest fire companies answered a two-alarm fire that ravaged a home early morning Thursday , causing significant damage to the front of the house.
McLoughlin said the fire was reported at 4:20 a.m. When firefighters arrived, flames engulfed the first floor of the Evergreen Place home.
Fortunately none of the occupants of the house were injured, but two firefighters required medical attention and were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Both were later released.
The house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, McLoughlin said. The cause of the fire was accidental.
