  1. So you’re not blaming the Mayor or the Village Manager?

  2. No we are going to blame the sign that the Village Manager put up. Mr Halaby enjoy your relationship with the Mayor and VM because it will be short lived .

  3. that sign should not be there , it is a distraction .

  4. Yes, Rurik enjoy your tight friendship with Paul, Gwenn, Albert, and Roberta the bobble-head. Soon you can all sit and cluck together over coffee because they will be out of here and Ridgewood will once again be governed appropriately.

  5. Lawyers will fix that once there is a pedestrian death as cars enter that tightly shared roadway that the town itself made narrower

  6. that damned sign… yeah that’s it… those horrible council members and village manager should have known distracted drivers can’t deal with that illegal sign while texting and drinking their frappacino!!! Oh, horror of horrors!

  7. I drive through that intersection. It is tricky and you need to focus.

    What sign?

  8. Anon 9:39 Maybe, maybe not. But then if your dream comes true and you end up purging Roberta, maybe you can then hire a Manager with heavy experience in municipal management. A manager who can wave his/her magic wand and magically recover the $500,000 of quarters that mysteriously disappeaed under the control of the former Manager, supposedly a highly experienced municipal manager.
Paul Smith, I maintain the worst drivers in the world are Ridgewood drivers with their selfish, self-centered, self-absorbed attitude. Kings and Queens of the Road.

    1. Rurik the party is over

  9. Rurik, I was born and raised on Staten Island… You haven’t seen the definition of bad drivers until you’ve had the pleasure of trying to navigate Hylan Boulevard… Stuff here is child’s play…

  10. Try Naples, Italy, where you take your life in your hands crossing the street.

  11. the sign is nice. but not there, it is causing problems. wake up and move it. ware, some place safe, I get it that the village is trying to send info . the problem is no one is opening up news papers, and the new be,s don,t care about news like our dad’s did in the past.

  12. 1127… Naples Florida too…

  13. The only time in recent memory that I almost got hit was in this intersection and that was after the bike lanes were added ,narrowing the driving lanes to one each way. Someone tried and succeeded to pass me on the left as I was heading from the west side under the bridge. Now people are so used to no bikes in the bike lanes that the cars are actually using them to some degree. I do feel the bike lanes are dangerous to bikers and have made navigating this area more difficult. So, I don!t blame anybody for this recent accident but I do think Garber Square is an “accident waiting to happen.”
