Twp. of Washington Awaits New Traffic Study for Proposed Strip Mall at the Intersection of Pascack Road and Washington Avenue

Twp. of Washington NJ, Township officials expect to get the word on traffic study by the end of March for a strip mall proposed for the extremely busy intersection of Pascack Road and Washington Avenue. The new traffic study is expected to be ready on March 21st.

660 Pascack Realty LLC, plans a mix of retail and restaurants at the property, which is across Pascack Road from Seasons. The project called  4 Season Marketplace would consolidate property that currently houses five single-family homes, three of which are unoccupied. Seasons Catering boasts it grand ballroom can handle Grand Ballroom can cater to up to 300 guests.

The applicant’s “traffic expert”, Gary Dean, stepped in it when he previously concluded that the strip mall would not produce a “significant increase” in traffic at the intersection , during his testimony in January .  A claim so unbelievable the  township planning board ordered their own traffic study .

The Twp. of Washington Fire Department and EMS are located near the already over used intersection on Washington Avenue and high density housing has just gone up Pascack Road next to Season .

Construction began in August of 2022 on the  intersection project primarily which involves widening the existing roadway and adding additional traffic lanes.
