October 6th – 8th – The Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce presents Sidewalk Sale Days – There will be a variety of bargains for sale. If there is bad weather, the sale will be held inside the stores. The Mom’s Club will also hold an Arts & Craft Activity Fair for young children at Memorial Park at Van Neste Square on October 8th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a rain date of October 9th.

October 8th and 9th – Beginning at 12 Noon – Everyone is invited to Oktoberfest in Ridgewood’s West Village, in the Wilsey Square and Train Station Parking Lots – Come and enjoy hayrides (traveling on Heights Road and Crest Road with “The View” of NYC from 12 Noon to 5:00 p.m.), food, pumpkin painting, a scarecrow-making contest, a tent of vendors, toss games, sidewalk chalking, ice cream, and a full weekend of music during the day and into the night.
October 9th – 11 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Veterans Field (corner of Linwood Avenue and North Maple Avenue) – Ridgewood PBA Food Truck Festival and Kids’ Zone – This will be a day of Fun, Food, and Awareness and funds will be raised for The Golden Lights Foundation (501c3). All proceeds will go directly towards pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia. There will be bounce houses and games in a kids’ zone (wristband entry), live music, a beer garden and information booths. $5 entry; $25 for Kids” Zone; $25 for beer garden. Parking at Graydon Pool parking lot (corner of Northern Parkway and Linwood Avenue).
October 19th – 7:00 p.m. – Ridgewood Village Hall Court Room – The League of Women Voters sponsors a Candidates’ Night for Candidates for Village Council – Come and listen to the candidates for Village Council answer questions posed by the League of Women Voters. This will be broadcast on FiOS Channel 34, and on YouTube.
November 19th – 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (or until the truck is full) The Village of Ridgewood is sponsoring a Free Mobile Shredding Event at Graydon Pool Parking Lot – Free to all Ridgewood residents only – Limit is 4 file size boxes per vehicle. Please see the attached flyer for further information. This event is always popular, so plan to be there earlier in the day. It will be held rain or shine.
And when is the class at village hall, too teach residents how to use a rake. Because leaf season is coming.
